BRINGING YOUR VOICE TO
CITY HALL
PUBLIC SERVANT ~ PROVEN LEADER
I will stand up and bring your voice to City Hall.
As a parent of two young children, I care about safe streets and clean parks. As an educator, I know we must keep our youth engaged in positive outlets to reduce gang violence. As the daughter of a union steward dad and a PTA mom, my parents taught my brothers and me the value of hard work, helping others, and giving back. To ensure a bright future for all Azusans, we must use our taxpayer dollars to support:
SAFETY – fully fund law enforcement and first responders
YOUTH – expand programs to keep kids engaged in positive activities
BUSINESS – cut the red tape and make it easier for businesses to flourish
PEOPLE – protect seniors, Veterans, and our most needy residents, including those who are unhoused
As a City Commissioner and elected School Board member, I have always fought for fiscal responsibility, transparency, and investments in people. From the board room to cafecitos to conversations in the after school pick up line, I listen to residents and bring their needs to the attention of the decision-makers. My record shows that I deliver services that improve the quality of life for families. And as a Councilwoman, my door will be open to you as we work together to unify our community as one Azusa.
I respectfully ask for your vote on November 5.
Thank you ~ Gracias

VISION FOR A VIBRANT AZUSA
STRENGTHEN PUBLIC SAFETY
Fully fund law enforcement and first responders. Ensure we have best in class equipment and systems to keep our city clean and safe.
ENGAGE YOUTH & FAMILIES
Keep kids engaged in positive activities to reduce gang violence. Get more families engaged in the civic process so everyone knows how decisions are made in City Hall.
VALUE OUR DIVERSE NEIGHBORHOODS
Let's come together to celebrate the rich traditions and amazing diversity across our neighborhoods. We are one city, united in our love for the place we call home.
EXPAND BUSINESS
Cut the red tape and make it easier for businesses to flourish in all parts of our city. Azusa is destined to be a bright spot to live, work, play, and connect.
I was first elected to the Azusa Unified School District Governing Board in 2020, and have served in the role of President, Vice President, and Clerk. I am committed to community service, especially for youth, educational, and cultural organizations. I currently serve on the Arts, Cultural and Historical Preservation Commission for the City of Azusa, following one term as a member of the Azusa Library Commission (2019-2022). Additionally, I am a member of the Azusa Woman’s Club, where I chair the Environmental committee and serve on the Azusa Golden Days committee.
I also serve on the board of directors for Woodcraft Rangers, El Monte-South El Monte Emergency Resources Association, and Chinese-American Elected Officials (CEO). I am a proud parent of two Azusa Unified students and a product myself of public schools. As a first-generation college graduate, I was grateful to receive scholarships to attend UC Irvine. After a few years in the workforce, I balanced a full-time job with graduate school and earned an MBA from USC and a Doctorate in Education from UCLA.

"Sabrina is what this community needs! My family appreciates her transparency and balanced approach. She's done a great job on school board and we can't wait to see what she will do as the first woman to serve on the Council in 17 years."
